I am 72 years old and have been going to Hillman Cancer Center for 7 years. I can’t imagine that I won’t be able to see the doctor and nurses who I have entrusted in my treatment/care. As a senior, it is hard to switch doctors/hospitals and try and find someone who has the same compassion and trust that you have built and gotten used to. Not all doctors are the same. Why should I be punished because of UPMC’S greed and goal to monopolize the insurance market? I should have the choice to go wherever I want and be in-network so that I am not charged an abundance for being out-of-network. Highmark is within budget for me and my husband, who is a veteran, and we cannot afford UPMC insurance.
