Michael’s Story

I have to say that the “break-up” has caused me much hardship. I had to change EVERY doctor! I couldn’t find a primary care doctor who could even come close to the UPMC doctor I had for years. I had a personal connection to that doctor and that connection has yet to be replaced. I had to choose and switch doctors many times until I finally found an okay one.

I find it amazing that the state of Pennsylvania and the City of Pittsburgh have not stepped up to revoke the tax protections of a “nonprofit” that UPMC enjoys. I am sure that the city of Pittsburgh could put all those unpaid tax dollars to work in schools and in infrastructure.

Sad to see corporate GREED win over the health of Pittsburghers!
