Sharon’s Story

My daughter is disabled and was diagnosed with spasmodic torticollis (dystonia) and receives Botox injections every 3 months to control her spasms for the past 10 years. When first diagnosed she was treated by a Highmark doctor. Her doctor changed jobs and now works for UPMC. He is an excellent doctor and makes her feel comfortable. She suffers from anxiety and OCD. She will no longer be able to see her doctor beginning July 1. It has been a nightmare trying to find her another doctor and get an appointment with a Highmark doctor who is qualified for medical Botox. This entire healthcare divorce is scaring her and causing her more stress. We keep praying something will be done to end this nightmare!
